Battlefield 3 download failed

Hi guys,

i have been getting this error in Origin regarding BF3, it will constantly fail to update the game, the pic below shows the error message, any of you guys know a fix, I've done a little googling myself but to no avail.

UPDATE: this is happening to Battlefield 1942 as well (the free origin version ofc) i think it is happening to all origin games

Well, my quickest bet is that you try reinstalling Origin as I don't think that will uninstall your games. I don't have much time to think of something else right now to help you because I'm in middle of my exams and I was just passing by xD

btw its been downloading fine now, 42% i do not know what i have done, i was just badgering Origin until it started downloading lol

it happened again but it resumed from where it crashed, i bet this is just a p2p problem.

UPDATE:

So i got the game installed, haven't installed any of the DLCs yet, i try to play the vanilla game but i crash to desktop with no error message its as if i alt tabbed, i cant even alt tab back in the game :s

I'd recommend that you installed all of the dlc's and then try playing. I think that happens because they might include certain game patches

You can also run a repair and see if it finds any issues.

did a repair no issues, i am now trying to download all dlcs but i keep getting download error, i will just keep badgering it.

did you try disabling your firewall or the anti virus? Those might be the source of the problem

tried those, it seems that it is downloading if i leave it alone after badgering it for some time then it works i finished CQ and AK now, got Aftermath to do.

UPDATE:

I got all downloads completed, i managed to play the game somewhat successfully though, the problem i am getting is that sometimes the game would crash without an error message, it would crash to desktop as if i alt-tabbed and i cant alt tab back in. i dont know, seems a number of people from the battlelog forums have been experiencing the same thing, the fixes suggested arent proper just suggested workarounds that mostly failed.

will do next time i jump in, but i get a good amount of playtime before any crash though :P
