As of the 25th of July, we have been playing BF3 for 9 months straight. little or no real new content that we can use in the tournament has come out since BTK. We have Armored Kill coming out in September, and everyone here in the community is looking forward to it.
With Campaign 38 ending within the next 1-3 weeks, we admins have been looking towards Campaign 39. Trying to figure out the best way to keep what we have from getting stale. After much debate we came to the conclusion that a break from BF3 would be best. So that when Armored Kill comes out EVERYTHING will feel fresher. With that in mind we would like to announce that Campaign 39 will be a:
21CW Mod BF2 Retro Campaign!
Some details:
This will be a shortened camp 4-5 official battles.
This campaign will be over by the end of September. The exact date depends on how many more battles are in this campaign, but will be announced as soon as we can.
We will be using the 3.8.x version of our 21CW mod, with 2 maps a battleday as before.
Whomever is picked as General for Campaign 39 will have an opportunity to continue in that position once we switch back to BF3 for Campaign 40.
When we hit Campaign 40, we WILL be playing Armored Kill. If you don't have it, you will not be able to play in quarters when we use those maps.
There will be some more threads created for those who have never played 21CW BF2 before, detailing differences between the mod & vanilla gameplay. Starting next Monday, the Battleserver will be switched to running BF2 with the mod during the week. Unless someone needs it for practice.
