    Why so much hate?

After a week of suffering because of RAM failure in my PC i finally got a chance to play BF3 today and it was just so good. Played Karkand 64 and it was the most orgasmic battle on Karkand full 64!

Started, running through familiar territory, reached Hotel, battle begins, bullets whizzing by, trying to get a peak, a tank comes crushing down a fence 1...2...3 rockets hit, disabled, running low on ammo, mag in, last mag left, take enemy out, pick up his kit, run through tight alleyways taking a peak spotted engineer on roof, fire burst shots, he fires rpg, take cover! am hurt need to replenish, team mates arrive situation under control, heading to final point of capture, running on open ground...flint of a sniper's scope everyone scatters, i take prone by trainyard, sniper is pinning us down, mortars assist, its a bloody battle...welcome to Karkand...Battlefield 3. Badum dum de dum dum (BF theme tone).

to me BF3 is an easy 9/10

Oh Eagle, youre just a mouth piece for EA. DICE has fooled you and the console failure that BF3 is.

UPDATE: I would give it an 8/10. I dont think it deserves a 9 because of all day 1 - 30 problems that people had as well as the changing of terrain deformation.

LOL, I can't give this game to high marks mainly do to frustration, bugs and glitches, but it is still a fun game.

If I had the problems others had, my score would have been lower. Im the 1% though that didnt have any issues. Almost any anyway. The few I had I figured out.

Its a fun game and has an amazing engine. Putting bugs and whatnot aside, I think the biggest issue(for me) is some of the gameplay decisions dice has implemented. Smaller maps, less features, etc. I still enjoy the game and dont think its going anywhere....until they push the next big BF game through the wood chopper and kill this one off silently. That game....yeah its probably gonna suck.

It's a fun game but it isn't the game I hoped it would be. It's good for a play every now and then, but it's not a game I can sit down and play for hours.

Love this game. Every second I play, every aspect of it. I have had zero issues thus far, tbh its been the most fun i have had gaming since COD4 came out.

Thanks everyone for being mature in your responses, i appreciate it. :)

What i wanted to say is that i really enjoy the game. Last night i was playing with my friend on Coop it was amazing, and today we will be playing some MP servers, obviously when playing with a friend its awesome, but even when i flew solo its awesome. I dunno but i could never give this game a 7, i believe the lowest i will go is 8. The best unbiased review i read out there was the PC-Gamer one, you guys check it out:

Brilliant and unrivalled multiplayer makes it a game worth playing, despite bugs and crappy singleplayer.

                    Re: Why so much hate?

10/10 for a game. It's one of those games which comes across every 4 years, has depth, style, fun and a lot of replayablity. Polished across the board. Considering how massive the game is, I have found little to no bugs which have irritated me to frustration.

However, as a Battlefield game, and as a successor to the last true BF title (BF2 and it's mod BF2142, ha!), the game is severely lacking in a fundamentally important aspect.

-Teamwork elements. Squads suck. 4 players leaves barely room for a good bunch. No default VOIP makes it impossible to group up with random people. DICE got it wrong at some point when they got schooled by Infinity Ward in how to create a community around a game. First you play with strangers, then add some of them to your friends list, because you like playing with them. Instead, we get it backwards. I rarely see squads attack or actually do crap together, because they aren't forced to do it. It's much better for me, a BF "veteran", so to speak, to squadhop and spwanhop, because it's more "profitable". And in the same time, it's useless to be a responsible squadleader and keep yourself alive in the moment of need, waiting for people to spawn on you while you are hiding close to a flag, when everyone is too busy looking for spawnpoints closer to the couple of "profitable" chokepoints.

As a BF game, BF3 literally blows (unless you play it competitively or in a more organized community, but we're talking about a small minority here). I'm playing a fantastic game, on par with COD4, but it's anonymous and offers more benefits from actually not being in a squad and it just doesn't support or promote actually networking and meeting with/new people.

In BF2, I was adding people or recognizing and jumping into squads with folks on the first week of gameplay. In BF3, all I have is a few hackusations and a few teamstackers, whom I recognize.

                      ...severly lacking indeed. +1

Playing the game with 4 or so players is relatively smooth, but when it comes to 64 its a frking lag fest for me.

Same problem with me. Signa mentioned how he couldnt understand me playing on smaller servers, but the truth is that I lag out on 40+ size ones. I think its my internet. I thought perhaps the game couldnt handle it, but Ive been on a few and asking my friends, they were not lagging. I have DSL, so plenty of download, but a smaller upload.

                            Re: Why so much hate?

I stick to 32 man or 40 man servers, I have never liked 64 player battles tbh

as for teamwork, I was speaking to a friend of mine who also played BF2 and he commented as well that most of the time it does not feel like Battlefield, until he finds a decent squad and then it is spot on

and I feel the same way, I have played most of my 200 hours with friends on Teamspeak, often with a full squad (we have sometimes had enough for 2 squads ha) and the game is great that way

but sometimes when I have to play alone (SO RONERY) it can be awful, you can have fun if you find a squad of decent players but often

you are simply playing with idiots, and I cannot stress this enough, god dam awful MORONS, the kind of people that even after you have defused an MCOM 3 times still sit miles back doing fuck all, or cannot even master simple basics

they are what make the game annoying to play at times; they can shoot at people sure (barely) but they fail to understand that there is a lot more to a BF game than killing, a whole lot more

and that is imo why often rounds can be shit, the general player population has gotten dumber, of more accurately has been diluted by dumb people

Played yesterday on a swiss server Kharg 24/7 it was pretty good, managed to keep my chopper alive for quite a while lol, anyways in terms of servers i never really liked the 64 ones but the 32 to 40 players is rather smooth for me, not everyone is itching for a kill i guess.

Anyways there are servers out there that are actually pretty good, some are...well they feel codified in a way, refer to players who just stay at the top of the kill chain going TDM the whole time, i mean there is a mode for that...TDM, filter your servers! but lukcily yesterday i ran into a good server had some fun
