Sadly no, only a few old vehicles are back (DPV, F35B, and BTR-90) and some of the old weapons are back- but all of the maps are still Russia vs US, as in vanilla BF3.

they ought to bring us back a wire guided anti tank weapon like the Eryx or SRAW........the javelin is a total fail, simply not enough teamwork in today's battlefield to have a such a teamwork orientated item.

The Javelin should do 90% damage considering the amount of time it takes to lock on, the fact tanks can just pop smoke to avoid it, and that it takes forever to bring up a follow-up shot.

I don't think vehicles are hard to kill, but the weapons need tweaking.

I 100% support jumping on BF2 and playing it, it is still an amazing game. I have it installed on my laptop and play it. I think it's dumb the MEC and PLA are gone, very very very very (cannot stress it enough) dumb that Russia is in the Middle East (DUMB) Wake I could understand but still DUMB (sorry for caps) im mad =(

Not much you can do about it though, so don't let it bother you too much. Each BF game is a step down from the previous starting at BF2142 being the last true BF game. BF3 is still awesome, I don't dislike it, but I think it had a lot more potential that DICE ignored in an attempt to focus on getting the COD fans over here.
