Final unlock in each class. Mistake or Reality?

So I was playing BF3 this weekend, me and my 1% (Its a joke, chill out), and I play engineer a lot and noticed that my engineer role at the end of the round was tiny, even though my points were high for that round. So I thought I would take a look in Battlelog and noticed that I am on the last unlock for Engineer and it is the SG553 weapon.

So that weapon, to unlock requires 378,000 points. Yeah. Thats right. No typo. The weapon before it was 145,000.

So curious, I got to looking at the other kits and they are all similiar.

Assault: 220,000 previous 166,000
Support: 170,000 previous 130,000
Recon: 195,000 previous 146,000

So what do you guys think about this one gun being so much higher than the other three classes? Could it be DICE figured engineer would be played the most so to extend the unlocks they raised the level or do you think it is a bug that was left in from beta testing or something?

Going by Battlelog and the progress bar in the game, it appears to be a factual number to hit, not some battlelog typo.

It is only unlockable by playing Co=OP.

That is so strange then. I wonder why the bar is progressing. I guess because of the stars on the classes.

Support doesnt have a co-op unlock either. That is a bit strange. I would think each one would.

Interesting. I am yet to play co-op in relation to all the disconnects, but reading off of the latest patch they seem to have fixed that, gonna give it a go tonight.

Maybe its progressing so you can get one of those service stars.

I picked him at random. have no idea who he is. But he has 23 Recon service stars. I don't know how many you can get. Maybe that's why your progress bar is moving.

Assault gets 2 riffles from co op, engi 1, recon 1, and 2 handguns, i believe.

Since Battelog doesnt have a good alerting system at this time what I try to do, when I remember, is open a voice channel and anyone can come in and ask to play. Even if others are there already. Of course, you have to ask

Ive played Co-op with a couple different people. Trooper was pretty fun and had EVERYTHING memorized. It was crazy.

nervous to ask about coop? lol it's cool stevo there is no issue with it xD, i was waiting for my cousin to coop with me since the beggining of the game release but he is always away and i cant wait anymore. i'll be around this weekend so just be up on battlelog

Too bad the coop missions are meh. With a friend we ended up doing the last mission in easy and rushing through the level for 2 hours straight so we could finally get the last unlocks and never touch this again. The devs at Dice really aren't good for everything non pure-multiplayer (level design, AI, story etc).
