Is anyone else wondering what happened to this feature? It looks like it was never put back in after the beta issues with people falling through the map (yet it worked fine in the alpha) but wasn't this supposed to be a rather largely advertised feature? why has noone missed it? I mean it works fine in BFBC2 so why cant Frostbite 2 handle it?

Re: So what happend to terrain deformation?
We know FB2 can do it because of both the Alpha and the Beta. I guess something bad changed when they were turning all the code into console code.Twitter: @CptainCrunch

Re: So what happend to terrain deformation?
Server updates were also updated recently which includes terrain deformation. During the BF3 beta, players would often dig trenches with C4, but the final didn't include this feature. Users on Reddit are reporting that the feature is now working again and holes can be dug once again with C4. Terrain deformation in Battlefield 3 can offer a major tactical advantage on maps like Operation Metro, Tehran Highway, and Operation Firestorm. Ground damage is only slightly comparable to what could be done in the beta, but it is still a nice addition to Battlefield 3's multiplayer.Twitter: @CptainCrunch
