bf3 issues

ok im trying to help a friend remotely install bf3.

the issue is ill run the disc and it will install and go through the entire instalation.
asking me to insert disc 2 he will insert the 2nd disc.
it will finish the install and download so when he goes to Origin to try an play.
the game says ready to install and wont install just sets there and nothing happens.

specs of the pc are
HP m9250f
vista home prem 64 bit sp1 all updates are up to date
4 gigs
intel Q6700
nvidia 8600 gt

Dunno if it would make a difference but that video card is below minimum specs.

well ive gotten it to install and when i try an run the game.
it says there is an error with install and needs to reinstall.

but it seems like a ton of people are having this issue and no fix yet.

install as computer admin?if using vista?
