Hooray for broken street dates! BF3 out in Australia!

Got my copy of Battlefield 3 from JB hi fi. Installing now. Can't wait even though its a school night... but oh well. Got a free set of IRL dog tags and a Battlefield 3 cap. Wearing both right now.

Apparantly someone sold a copy early and now EVERYONE has to sell them early. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Well I've already adorned it with my signature Band Badges and the small baby chicken that I always wear (Yes. I should post a picture sometime).

Still have to wait until activation date though.

Tip of the day: Make sure you get as much Jet time as possible until you have unlocked IR flares.
I waited a couple of days and the air was already thick with heat seeking missiles, making it almost impossible to do anything without flares

So do it now, before all the AA is unlocked.

On the plus side, I think killing a single gunship with crew will give enough points to unlock flares.

What sucks is that on the larger maps there is so much rubber banding... Australian internet really does suck...

I think that is a world-wide problem with the 64p servers, although bad Internet may make it even worse

Yeah, after lots of patches and backend work. Every dice Battlefield game has been like this and is no surprise and shouldnt be.

If you don't unlock them, just wait a few more days. Once they unlock rocket pods or the guided missile, they shouldn't have to use heat seekers (unless they suck :P).
