It reads that way. If that's the case MW3 has lost to BF3.

I will be waiting for 50% off sale on steam for the SP. I wish they would just sell the SP part. They should know this is not what the pc player wanted.

Sad part is it will still out sell BF3. I do think BF will over take COD, just not this time around. BF will defiantly out sell cod on the pc. Its them dam console player. their young and doing crack(cod) right now but eventually they will move onto heroin(BF)

As usual, I'm more concerned with what 402 doesn't say. It sounds like the dedicates server files will be public again. This gives me the sneaky suspicion that they won't count as Ranked Matches, only IWNet matches. I'd love to be proven wrong. Some of my best memories of CoD4 were LAN parties where we rank hacked everyone to 55 and had at it. Nobody cared about stats. It already sounds like we're getting a neutered version of Elite and won't be allowed to compete for $$$ or prizes.

Hopefully we're getting, "Just give the PC gamers what they want and leave them to play in the corner." Or rather, they've realized PC and Console are very different target audiences. We're not just console players who like keyboard/mouse controls.

Either way, I'm wary enough of the CoD series now to not buy anything at release. I want to be proven wrong.

Well that's the end of that then.

I refuse to play on that crap system they call IWnet.

Yeah, a lot of people are getting upset about this. The way people are reading it, including myself, is if you want your own server, you can have it, but its going to be unranked and entirely seperate from the rest of the system. Otherwise, you use IW.net and only IW.net.

IWNet worked so good the last time around, no idea why anyone would be upset. This is the first time I'm actually considering cancelling MW, sucks that I used gift cards for about half of it that I can't use anywhere besides GameStop. Robert Bowling's name is like a curse for this game, right before the game is released he has to give the bad news to all the fanboys like myself and make me wanna find him and...well no need to go there, after all he is only a patsy delivering the bad news with a frecking smile.

wait...HWAT!? are you telling me that server browser is only for unranked matches? this sucks. I mean Treyarch were brilliant when they included a server browser, and tbqh i love them for that. WTF this pisses me off, well at least BF3 is a week away and with that being said looks like i will be buying the MP sometime in the far future.

And the other shoe drops... At least I can save myself $60 and won't have to worry about it competing for time with BF3. It would seem they learned nothing from MW2. Games will be just as hacked, and with no ability to remove abusive players.

Oddly enough, I see this being popular with the competitive set since they always set very specific rules on what weapons, unlocks, perks you can use. And it still looks like it will be a great LAN game. Set your server to all unlocks and go. But that won't be until you see it in the half-off bin.

I wish I had been wrong.

Yeah, for competition it has everything they need with the exception of a record feature, which it may have.

I suppose the only lacking thing is a way to mod it so there is a ready/start option.

                            $60 in my pocket still.

I would actually buy this if they sold it for $30.

Actually a very good point. At $30, I too would snap it up no question. Still it's like they're handing the PC market to EA on a silver platter. Then again, from Activision's perspective, if sheeple still buy it (which I'm sure they will,) what's there incentive to change? It's blatantly obvious their primary concern is maximizing profits. Making a good game seems a distant second. Rather, good enough that you'll buy it.
