Well guys I cancelled my preorder... (AKA the Pre order bonus thread)

... Because I found that another retailer had a better deal.

I initially pre ordered EB games' (AKA gamestop) version which included the physical warfare pack, but I found that JB hi fi had a free hat and dogtag bonus (I always wear a hat so Im a sucker for them) as well as the Spectact(Spelling?) kit bonus. Nice to see that EA are doing what Valve have been doing with TF2 (Although in real life).

On that note, to start some form of discussion, what pre order bonuses are you getting?

I have it through Direct2drive but I dont think there offering any bonuses besides the expansion....

Tried to cancel and go with somewhere else but I cant, I dont think you can....

I purchased from Origin because of the discounts that I was able to get. None of the other bonus items really stood out for me. The Best Buy spectat option was interesting, but I still rather save the money.

Also the JB Deal had a set price, and that was $10-$15 less than I was expecting from EB.

gotta ask yourself......is an ingame dog tag worth $15 to you? a hat i can see that being worth the preorder bonus since it's a real physical item.

D2D has it for $45 with the codes listed in the thread below this one and you can try for the bday codes to get it right through origin for the same price.

FYI, all D2D is doing is selling a origin code, it's all through origin, even ones sold by other digital distributors will be nothing but an origin code.

Well mainly the IRL hat. And the fact that I am sure its around $90, which I was reminded might lower at a closer date (I would expect at least a full $100 at my original retailer).

Also, The Dog tags in the deal are physical. Unless the physical definition has changed sometime while I wasn't looking. (I'm not trying to be rude or anything... But Im that paranoid that I wouldn't put it past people to change shit like that...)

yikes.....I guess if your paying 2x as much as the rest of us you better get something good!

I don't believe there are any preorder deals here in the US that offer real physical items.

I only preordered from Origin because of the early beta access. I don't care about any of the other bonuses. The SPECACT only comes from Best Buy, and I never buy games from there. If I was going to preorder from somewhere else, I would get it on Amazon ($0.99 release day delivery), but that comes with in-game dogtags only.

Origin, because I got someone to buy it for my for my Birthday (honestly, I might of only gotten MW3 otherwise cause I'm broke). The BETA access, physical warfare pack only came after I preordered and as soon as they had the ME2 free thing I contacted EA Support and they just added it to my account for free.

I literally have no idea what I am getting. Basically, I had a pre-order with Play.com which I believe was just the standard Limited Edition. But I cancelled that and pre-ordered in store at Game. I believe they are one of few UK retailers officially offering the physical warfare pack.

Yeah, I would hope a copy of BF3 would be in there, it's more what pre-order stuff. There was also talk of some copies being in a metal tin. It's fairly shallow, but I want it all :awes

I bought it on Direct 2 Drive with a coupon because it was cheaper. Sure I only have the Back to Karkand DLC but considering I don't care about the Specact skins, dogtags and the physical warfare are just pre-unlock (except for the Type 88 which will be given to everyone later).
