    Finally retired from BF2

I know, this game is ancient in today's standards. But the stat's system integrated in it gives you motivation to keep playing, even though the game is very dated.

Well, last night I finally got my Colonol ranking (150,000 pts). With BF3 coming out in about 2 months, I have no desire to try to get to general (need 30k pts). It took me 6 months to go from the 120k rank to 150k.

So, I'm on a Battlefield break until October. Gotta get some new hardware to get ready for 3.

I think its great. A game that keeps going for you is hard to come by. I tend to stick with games for quite some time as well unless something about the next game catches my fancy. Its why I still play BC2 while others have moved on.

So close to general though, I would be tempted to keep going. The only issue is that pesky 6 month thing
