  • Can I use a USB external HD for single player games?

Would a USB external HD be sufficient to play just single player games on the pc?

i'd say it depends which game it is.
if it's a demanding game that needs to access the HD often, then i would not put it on USB HD.
now if it's some casual game like plants vs zombies, then i think you'd be okay.
if it's a demanding game, it will slow down every time it needs to access the HD, not to mention loading times will be longer.

Well my Dad had an extra one laying around so I got it. So far haven't noticed any difference with games being on it.

Yeah, as long as its single player and USB 2.0 and probably a 7200 rpm drive, you really should be good to go with that.

Ive done it on some older games and never saw an issue.
