When are they finally going to fix the hitbox in CS:S? Even BF2 owns it now, the 1.5v hitbox is fine so long as the server you're playing on is very good.Comment

I still play from time to time, maybe a couple hours a month. Nowhere near the days when I would probably spend 20 hours of BF2 a week but I still like the game. Back then I was in a clan though so it was more fun then just going solo on pubs like I do now. Once Bf3 comes out I don't think I'll ever go back to BF2 though. BF2 is still a great game but it's getting old and while there are still people playing the numbers are dying out. I think it will be a long time before BF2 completely dies (there are still people playing Bf1942 last time I checked) but it will be a much smaller community after a year or two when most people switch to BF3.Comment

Probably no where... at least not in the US... The scene is pretty dead as of now, maybe there's one for 1.6 but I wouldn't know where to look anymore because I haven't been a part of that scene for ages.Comment

There are probably about 1000 players at any given time playing BF2 online. But the community has become pretty small. There are only really a handful of servers that are populated regularly. And if you don't play on there on a regular basis, and show any type of skill, you will normally get accused and kicked.
Like many, I was in a clan in the past for BF2. Maybe I'll join up with one for BF3. I'm even thinking of renting a server for BF3.Comment

I fear more for BC2 than BF2. BC2 is really close to BF3, and BF3 is improved in every way possible. BF2 still have its own gameplay and mods, BC2 have nothing and will die very quickly.Comment

I dont know about that Infernalis. It could happen, but BF2 is showing its age and has a lot of security issues.
Hopefully the community could come back together with BF3 anyway.

BF2 has a TON of problems. First and foremost, its OLD, and tired. The graphics are dated. Experienced players know every virtual inch of every map. It is full of hackers, which scares away most players. Because of this, the server admins and clans take a guilty first approach. And that's simply because there are not enough players in the game.
And the game still has some bugs, and glitches and such. There is no support for it from DICE. The leaderboards are full of illegit accounts that have used RCON hacks to boost stats. You can become a 4 star general in about 2 minutes now.
All that being said, its still fun to load up and get some kills in Karkand.Comment
