Re: Paying to win.
Hmmm... Im bored so I decided to watch it (hell, if im ever doing an economics assignment that involves us studying a company, I might use this) and from what I gathered, PEOPLE wanted the permanant weapons paid for with IRL money, as well as stat advantages. And Easy were reluctant to... to a point. If they were truly reluctant they wouldnt have done them anyway. But hey, a company has to make money. But still doesnt mean Im going to play BFH again as much as I want to.
Edit: They also seemed to do it so they could keep their jobs in the wake of EA layoffs
Edit 2: and to our dismay... It actually worked. Basically it was like the MW2 fiasco. So many people said "I'm Nut G0nn4 buy it!" yet you could see so many people in the MW2 boycott steam groups with a copy of the game.

No, the way I saw it EA realized that they couldn't make enough cash from just selling flashy clothing, they needed to sell something tangible. Like improved weapons.
