In all seriousness, I'm trying to avoid reading any hints or innuendos that the devs may be spouting on twitter these days because it just causes too much speculation to the point where the March 1 reveal can only bring disappointment. Good job getting a response from Demize, though.

Hahaha, no over analysis, I just posted what I found, and yes I know this isn't an end all, but its promising. I'm still not getting my hopes up for BF3 though.

I'll buy it if it isn't perfect anyway haha.

Yeah, I'm not one of those who insist that the game has to be the Garden of Eden of FPS before I'll buy it (and you know those people that do will buy it anyway), but the more I read the DICE posts and tweets the more I get hyped up so I find myself falling right into their trap. So I'm doing my best to reserve judgment until at least March 1.

Still, at least everything so far sounds promising. :thumbsup:

The thing is that whatever they tell or show in March is still going to be hype and probably not actual gameplay footage. They usually dont show that until the final months before release.

They will have this cool trailer that show some weapons and vehicles and teamwork, like this one:

Could be, but since it's being unveiled at GDC which is aimed at promoting to other developers and not at E3 which is aimed at the consumers it might be more of what the game can actually do than just trying to sell a product. At least I hope.

Crunch everything in that trailer was in the game, as a matter of fact I would call it a good representation of the game. (or part of it, they didn't use CG's.)

Yeah except in the game there's no über teamwork, infiltration on a guarded base of 12 afk players/scripted AI players and the map seems big in the trailer, if you want to find that ingame you have to play 4vs12 so you don't feel like a sardine in a can and lol at the tower falling and the russian diving to the ground.

Its a skewed view of things in the game. Its not the game that we play by any means.

Notice how they used Atacama, the BIGGEST map in the game and the only one that even remotely resembles a true BF game (at least out of the original maps; haven't played since September so don't know about any new maps or Vietnam)? Then when you get the game it's nothing but explosives spamming and cluster****s and maps that promote it all.

Of course, who can forget the BF2142 intro where everyone was fighting it out on the Titan with...get this...GUNS! In-game? RDX, APM, and nadespam up your bum and out your ears.

According to a 'trailer', I can guarantee that BF3 will have everything including being able to use the game disc to julienne cut potatoes. That's why I'm hoping it'll be less of a trailer and more of a 'here's what we're ACTUALLY going to put into the game and it will be worth using' thing.
