I've only seen him in BF2142 and BFBC2, and he's always knifing everyone. In BF2142, it was pretty awesome.

You can see the video, though, where knifing in BFBC2 is... meh. He knifed people after they got behind him. He knifed people after they shot him in the face.
The auto-aim QTE knifing of BFBC2 really neuters the badassery of what knifing used to be.

EDIT: You could take my post as crying about knifing being "OP." That isn't it. I knife people twice as much as I'm knifed. I'm just saying that when knifing becomes, "range X + hit Y = win," it's not as hard or impressive as it used to be when you had to aim knives and all that.

Yeah man! I liked knifing on BF2142 a LOT better. I hate this new knifing system tbh.

@Crunch It started with 2142 when I knew I didn't have enough time to make it on the top of the standard leaderboards so I decided to try to do it with the knife. Now I do it in BF:BC2 and you'll mostly see me using the knife but occasionally I'll use an auto or sometimes snipe. I'm fairly decent at sniping. :)

Yeah, but with all the knife only servers, did you think you could actually make it to the top or just decided to try it and see? Was that your entire goal to get into the top leader boards?

I think if I chose a life of the knife, it would be to make people cry, not for leaderboard status

in 2142 it wasn't as an impossible task as you'd believe. it's been a long time since i checked, but had ea not falsely wiped my stats, i'd have been on the first page of the leaderboard. if tim kept it up, he could have, too.

Yeah, I remember when they did that. I thought that wasnt right. Because your numbers are high, it **MUST** be because you are padding and are on knife only servers. Not because youve dedicated your time to do this.

So you think if someone just starts using knife and keep at it and stay in regular servers, they can be in the top pages?

Tim is currently #2 in BC2 and I think the #1 guy padded, but Im being biased for Tim

the leaderboard has been down for just over a year, so bear w/ me. at that time i would have had something like 90,000 total tags. that would be 14th or 15th place, instead of 45th or so. the leaderboard shows the top 17. now, tim started (the knifing) long before i did. so yeah, i think he could have stayed at the top. tim can correct me if i'm wrong here, but when he got the same fate, but was in first place.

Yes, I had just gotten to the 20,000 mark and was reset by the ignorant EACS dorks. I still have the email from that time. I remember finding this early in the morning after waking up and man did it really wake me up. I was infuriated! Check it out...

Yeah, BF2142 knifing was the best. It actually involves tactic, not lunging forward automatically after locking on.

meh, 42 in one in round in bf2142 is decent, but not great. i think the auto aim is pretty lame, too. but 42 is the most i've seen in a single round of bc2.

I can honestly say that the most knife kills I've gotten in a single round of BF:BC2 is 73. Of course, it was back when knifing was a lot easier before they expanded the hitboxes, raised the damage level of every weapon, and when the knife would actually connect with the target when it was supposed to. It was on a full server (32/32) on the map Valparaíso.
