Not necessarily. I have a good friend of mine that was a legit BF2 player that never got a purple heart. Me on the other had got one after 3 days of play from when the game came out lol.

I've never gotten a Purple Heart either, in BF2 or BF2142. It's not that I specifically think, 'Uh oh...I'm about to get a PH I better get outta here', rather when I'm dying five times to every kill it's generally an indication that my team is getting curb-stomped and I have little desire to play the 'spawn, walk five steps and die, wait 15 seconds to respawn and repeat' game. Or, to put it into one word: ragequit.

yeah, ive been playing it. testing back my old weapons. never knew the g3 was so cool.

I was one of those non-unlock guys but the g3 was deadly the few times I did use it. It was almost like hacks I could just point tap and headshot.

i never used the g3 cause as i had bought special forces instead of unlocking 1 id unlock 2 weapons every time i leveled up, so i unlocked imidiatly the f2000 and never tried out the g3. im actually trying weapons that i never did before and im having good times there again, so i went back to play it
