I was going to play some this morning but after reading that I decided not to until the problem is cleared up.

There is a very long thread going on the EA UK Forum about this issue and the most commen complaint is that you persumebly get bannend if you didn't manually updated you Punkbuster and played after patch R10..

My game auto updated itself via Steam (also bought it there) so I wasn't aware of the manually updating part.

And yes I've played R10 for an hour or so.

Not gonna play till this is sorrted out.

I've only seen pb kicks, not bans, just like any other time you update the game and pb doesn't update. just run pbsetup.

I have the Steam version of the game, it patched automatically.

Then I ran PB setup, no problem here :)

Heading to work nonetheless, hopefully this clears up after I get home.

Don't feel like dealing with EA customer service anytime soon.

Yeah, Zh1nt0 mentioned to update PB in his Nov. 24th blog for this patch. Everyone needs to be sure to do that, just to be safe.

So this is Only happening to the players who didn't update their PB after the patch?

I usually don't read the Blog entries when a new patch comes out. I'm glad i read this one and update my PB.

I played a couple hours last night without updating my PB and no problems.

Yeah, I didnt have any issues either. Im sure some of it is legit and most of it is false positive.

man, I was being kicked by pb
for hacking and cheating this week, i unistale the antivirus AVIRA and no more, but if you banned for md5tool, aimbot or multhack, its true positive, but for 132xxx this may be false positive for some software like antivirus avira or other.
