Console command for joining server?

Since my friends and I can't seem to invite each other into server, nor do the same server listings come up when we search, I was wondering if anyone knew the console command for joining a server. I thought it was something like /join /connect, but neither is working.

Try this:

/addfavourite ip : port

IP being the address and port being the port

I think the only way to do it is /addfavourite (remember the u)

yea but i think that only works when you are in the server. You cant do while out as its shaded in blue in the console.
