    Re: high settings vs medium settings

    i did notice AA and AF doesn't affect framerates as much as other games. i guess console ports are programmed to utilize CPU more than GPU?

      i notice NO difference in frame rate whether i run everything the most minimal settings or everything on high. it's still choppy both ways. i figure if it's the same playability, why lower the resolution? that just makes objects and enemies more difficult to spot.

        I love playing on low it's gives me an advantage over eye candy guys that get blinded by all the glowy stuff while my bullets pierce through their skulls. WIN

          I think graphics are one of the few good things in this game so I keep all the settings on high. (:

            I'll gladly play singleplayer games on high settings but I play online on lowest. Cleaner visuals, and a high, stable fps make me very happy. :wee:

                Nope, whether im forcing it in control panel or just ingame. Ive messed with all the AA settings and AF and nothing ever changed for me.

                I didnt even notice a difference between 8x and 16xQ, but I keep it at 16 anyways. same fps generally

                    the difference is in the fact that if u have the option 16xQ AA, you wont have the option 16x selected.And if u have 16x, you wont have no Q AA

                      I can run it on high so I dont see any reasons to not run it like that. I still kick arse with it on high and sometimes get pwned as well.

                        the AA is kinda lacking in this game.... probably because console dumbing down.
                        AA is only applied on few things, so not everything has the jaggies taken away.

                          Why do you miss it? I have the 216 core superclocked version and quite like it.

                            Undergrowth=low

                            and in the Catalyst control center in 3D (ati users)
                            Mipmap Detail Level = Quality (than high quality)
