Just upgraded to an i7930 build.I handed my old q6600 machine down to my bro.We both have gtx 260's.The problem is,my new machine gets really bad smoke lag and scope lag when I play.The q6600 does not get this.The settings are the same on both machines.Anyone know what gives?

Is it the same machine but different processors/motherboard? Same hard drive and OS or is it a clean install?

Antivirus running while playing johnron? Is everything on Windows 7 up to date?
I have a q6600 and I dont get any smoke/scope lag. Of course, I must always have the golden machine because I never have the same problems as everyone else. Just the random disconnect.

That is correct. I run right through it killing people and being called hacker. Maybe there is not enough smoke, IDK, but its never been a problem for me. Im sure my FPS drops like everyone else, but it doesnt seem to lag me.Originally posted by Minmaster

Could be a fix in the next SP from Nvidia, sound like a driver problem to me. Sorry, ATI now :)
Good chance you can fix in the settings as a work-around?z
All devs should introduce a "no gfx enhancement" button so users can quickly check, helps live chat debug "press o" x).
