Just got off an empty Atacama server, and i have to say i LOVE what they have done with the attack choppers handling. It is BF2 like minus the flips and barrel rolls. VERY responsive now. Tracers dart should have been left alone. Add the improved handling with Vsmoke and you have a recipe for some much needed revenge for pilots. GL out there on attack chopper maps. Its going to be tough to get good pilots out of the air.

Downloadind it right now, yep I heard choppers handling is far better (I saw the Havoc cockpit is still too bright though) but I don't think it will impact the game that much, it will be like before the tracer buff, you have to kill a chopper mainly with .50 from tanks.

I dunno Atacama still has the long range .50 cal on the heli but I am glad the heli will actually move now and the tracer isn't the noob weapon of choice alongside the CG

I still wish I could get a gunner that uses the tracer dart or a pilot that uses the hellfire missles when I use Alt Fire.

Yes and you have to be the Pilot for it to work (gunner can't use it).

tbh they should have it built in to the choppers without having vsmoke selected. i mean you don't always plan on piloting the chopper so chances are you don't have vsmoke on all the time.

Same for vehicles then, they should have smoke, and also IFV should be able to use the TOW and tanks their coaxial mg. The gameplay is like that, you have to make a choice, and most map where you need smoke don't contain others vehicle than Bradley (Blackhawk maps).

He needs the alt weapon option. Now that the choppers have smoke, you can kiss that option good bye.

Yep. And then slide the crosshairs over the orange box to lock on. Great video of it in the media section.

I'm pretty sure if one person has AltFire, then all people in vehicle have AltFire.
