Whenever I try to blow some C4 like that, I get a suicide. The server decides that I didn't really back up and around the corner, and crouch for 2 seconds. I really ran in and blew it up like a goddamn vest.

So I blow up three guys and an MCOM, but I get a suicide and -10 points instead of 500.

Check out video by Silver.7, accessible via media section. Practice walk-throw-jump (WTJ) sequence until it becomes your reflex to do so. Now I throw everything with WTJ sequence.

Oh, I know. I throw the stuff on top of, and over, buildings. Then when I hit the button to set it off the server decides I just let go of it or something, and it blows up in my face. But every time I throw C4, ammo, health packs, grenades, or motion sensors; I throw it at the peak of a jump, as far as I can. I usually can't even see the tank I killed.

But then there are all of the times when the C4 is on the wall next to a guy 30 feet away, I set it off and suicide somehow. Then he revives his teammates that I killed with my SPAS...

That is the problem. You usually do walk-jump-throw. You should walk, press throw, then jump. There is a delay between you press the button and throw, so you need to throw before you jump. Then the object will get accelerated speed and be thrown further.

I said I THROW it at the peak of a jump. Not that I press the button to throw at the peak of the jump.

I know you hit the button to throw, then jump. I time it so the release is right at the top of the jump.

There you go acting like I'm a damned moron. Did you think I've played this game as much as I have without figuring out how to throw things?

FRAPS causes a weird thing to happen on the second one. For a few frames you can see it right in front of me. Then everything catches up and it goes where it should.

To me, sometimes the blast could go through ceilings and kill me.

For that particular MCOM, i throw my C4 in, run to the building on top of the MCOM, detonate,and I get killed [EPIC FAIL] flashes.

I guess DICE didn't want us to C4 hop, but I think they did it a bit too well.

The c4 explosion is glitchy in the physics engine

the explosion goes vertically and horizontally and it goes through walls, the destroyable walls and the indestructable walls

so you may throw down some c4 on one side of an indestructable wall, run around the other side, bullets dont go through the indestructable wall but the c4 blast does and kills you. Oddly the explosion goes through the wall and hurts you but does not hurt enemies when it goes on the other side of an indestructable wall.

Thanks for the explanation. Looks like a good topic to make video for. I know what to put on YouTube before I get SONY Vegas.
