    Reached a personal Goal - KDR 1+

took a while - very very careful playing
but reached my goal - yeah yeah - easy for the rest of you :salute:
and I know many do not care about KDR
but being that I cannot go RAMBO without going 2-10 in a game
I set my sites on my personal KDR
also got my skill level to 399
(not sure what that means - but perhaps good team play)
I spot like crazy - hey - if I cannot kill the enemy - at least get TONS of spot assists :yay:
and even now - motion ball assists !

oh well - now to try the other kits!

Nice one. I know how it is. I had to play it safe to get up to 1:1. Now I'm basically stuck at 1.25.

it's so easy. just go sniper in HC mode. once you get used to the bullet drop and the sniper rifle, you can go 10 - 0 or better quite easily.

Why play HC as a sniper? I play recon on normal and do just fine. Use your motion sensors constantly, C4 vehicles, OSK people up close... That's how I ended up getting gold on all of the sniper rifles. It took all I had to get the damned 100 marksman headshots, since camping that far away is just such a bore for me.

I guess if you're struggling with frame rates in the teens, those short snap shots can be really difficult, though.

But you can rack up ace pins by running as a recon up close with your squad. Those motion assists really help out.

Motion assist alone can put you in the top three if you play on the front lines and get lucky with drawn out battles.

because in HC, if you're using the bolt-action snipers, you'll kill in one hit no matter where you hit them. In SC you need at least 2 shots to kill, unless it's a head shot. The health regen makes it even easier to stay alive since you can just move behind cover, sit for a bit, then come back out. If you're great with headshots, then SC would be better (since you get health regen) but most people aren't, especially newbies. Plus the lag is pretty lame right now, so getting a headshot can be annoying.

You might be thinking that the health regen would make sniping easier and it does to a certain extent. But if you're a good sniper, you shouldn't be seen at all and wouldn't have to worry about getting hit.

I know from personal experience that their heads aren't always going to be exposed. I've gotten kills in HC by shooting people in the leg or torso, because those were the only parts of them exposed through trees/windows/vehicles/whatever. You can't really kill them like that in SC unless they're already injured.

You know they changed HC and the sniper rifles? Yeah, at range the bolt-actions only do 50 damage, and players have 60 health. So it still takes two shots to the body to kill an undamaged player. The OSK distance in HC is a little bit farther than in normal due to the way damage ramps down instead of an instant dropoff, but not by much.

If you're killing people with one shot in HC, either they're already hurt, you hit them in the head, or they were close enough that they probably would have died in normal mode anyway.

HC just screws one of the main good things about recon: spotting and motion sensor spotting. You also have to be more careful with your C4 or mortars. Being a bush wookie in HC will net you less points than playing as a recon in normal.

Then I must have hit everyone with a head shot the other day in HC mode with a sniper rifle because every shot I made was a one shot kill. I was using the M94 with magnum ammo.

Same, except I'm using the GOL.

I don't need to rely on artificial spotting systems, so I don't see that as a negative at all. I also don't need to be more careful with my mortars. I just drop them where ever I think someone is hiding. And since it's HC, they always die.

                              hmmm . . .
at my current level of performance
(or until I get a new computer)
                              that will take 150 - 170 games
or 25 hours in Conquest mode
not sure if I will pursue that - :shakehead:
                              or just try new kits
                              (assault.medic)

                              maybe a little of both
                              (Rambo and caution) :guns:
