Supposedly you hold it over an enemy for 5 seconds and it will spot them for you, but it doesnt work to well at the moment.

i agree, whats the point of spotting for 5 seconds when you could take the shot and actually kill him so he wont respawn for 12 seconds lol

The chance of spot assist points if you miss.
The triangle over his head in case you lose him behind cover

When I snipe I spot people that I shoot at anyway, in all honesty it seems like a wasted spec.

the spotter thing also alows u to spot easyer . thats my experience. i just dont think it worths enouth to replace more important things

the 'Q" works in about .5 to 1 sec - not 5 WHOLE seconds
(I have more spotter points then kill points as sniper)

Sometimes the spot doesn't work for me. As if I spam it too much and then there's a delay.

Is that normal?

Oh and the spotter scope is a waste of a gadget.

What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!

I always had to spot manually with Q.
