This game is supposed to be focused on teamwork. I think less people would camp if there was a better reason to blow up an MCOM. Say 300 points instead. People would be fighting over MCOMS and the action would be much more intense as you would have more people going to plant. As it stands, it isnt really worth it point wise to take a chance and arm an MCOM and risk a death (not how i think but this is the majority). Could raising the point total for arming make a better difference in this game?
Should MCOMS give more points when getting destroyed?

Perhaps.
I'm finishing up the MCOM destruction badge, and I don't have any intention of being the team "arming" mascot anymore after that.
Making the point value for destroying/damaging an MCOM might entice more people to go for it. -

Arming is one thing, disarming is another.
Armed M-Com is generally death trap for defenders.Comment

Re: Should MCOMS give more points when getting destroyed?
Something needs to be done there is nothing more irritating than playing with a team full of recon class players hiding in hills whilst a handful of people actually try and attack the M-COM, maybe points would help but probably not fix the problem that much.Comment

In Ye Olde Days in BF2142, you actually got a pretty decent bonus for doing stuff near your squads objective.
I don't know exactly how it works in BC2, but I think a decent squad bonus could achieve the desired result.
As long as they fix the command/spot function, of course.Comment

They need to make arming and disarming the MCOMs actually provide the player with something useful as a form of encouragement. Im not talking about a perk or anything but maybe a special badge by your name that can stay on the server for a few days or better yet, have a CS "stats" form of system whereby each server has a hall of fame for most MCOM's destroyed.Comment

And don't make stats count if you don't win the round after level 25

Whenever I play for m-com I usually trade off a k/d of 14/30Comment

I generally stay well above positive even when going for MCOM stations, but I couldn't care less if it dips in the negatives: the whole point of Rush is for a team of organized squads to assault those positions and destroy those f$#(* stations. I can't stand seeing 3/4 of the team consisting of Recon and Engineers.
We need Medics on the front lines, for goodness' sake.Comment

Hey, don't you be hatin on the Engineer's, they are honest hard working soldiers! (Ofcourse, you can hate on Hot Carl).Originally posted by Sloi sauceI generally stay well above positive even when going for MCOM stations, but I couldn't care less if it dips in the negatives: the whole point of Rush is for a team of organized squads to assault those positions and destroy those f$#(* stations. Re: Should MCOMS give more points when getting destroyed?
My problem with an excess of engineers and snipers is that we need more medics on the attacking side. It's fine to have a handful of engis to destroy vehicles, but other than that, what we need are people there to revive the dead, thereby saving tickets, which increases our chances of arming and destroying MCOMs.
It's basic logic, and nobody seems to get it...Comment

I dont see the point arming most MCOM's when i can stand on a hill with a RPG and just take out the house.Comment
