Computer shuts off?

Ok this isnt really BC2 related but i was wondering if anyone here could help me. I recently put windows 7 on my machine and it has been running fine for the past few days however when i came in yesterday i noticed my computer was off? When i hit the on button i was given one long beep and then my computer started up instantly like it was in some sort of sleep mode? Is this a feature of windows 7 or is something wrong with my machine?

Ok this can be deleted as i have solved the problem. It appears that windows 7 comes with its own inbuilt sleep feature turned on :/
