How to throw C4?

I watched some YouTube clips where people can throw C4 pretty far away. How did they do that? I can't seem to throw them one feet away from me.

Left click + jumping (like you would with a nade)

I just jump and throw. not sure how far they go but i usually chuck them through windows. Sometimes i can chuck it in the second floor if i am below the window.

Absolutely love doing this to people camping the comm stations, chuck a c4 through a window and see them scramble down the stairs before you blow their head off
