Using Sidewinder 2 here, and tried Guillemot Top Gun stick. They 'almost' worked once, the throttle lever wasn't working and so was the banking, but after some patches they stopped working completely.

Yea, credibility kind of went out the window after that one. I also have to replace my keyboard because of Mt.Dew

surviving in those gunships was bloody hard tbh, let alone mowing people with them

it does display how you have to lead the target quite a bit with the AT4, but then thats because the dam missile moves so slow

even the new meals on wheels quad bike comes close to its King of Slow title

LOL I love that second video.

"Watch me hit stationary targets as well as some slowly moving in a straight line and be amazed!!!"

Thanks, I finally found a couple of videos showing choppers shot down by the AT4, so I guess it is possible

    Yes, sort of.

The red square is where the missle is currently going and its the crosshairs you aim with. I think they added that to show calculation adjustments being done by the rocket launcher. So when you move your crosshairs to the target, the red square jumps to the new destination a second later. So its not smooth like guided rockets in BF2 or 2142.

    Crunch

I don't use the red square, I don't even know why it's here, it's more annoying than anything else. But there's little point to use the AT-4 vs choppers unless the pilot is an idiot or fly really low, it's really easy to avoid the missile otherwise. And now tracer > AT-4 except in some situations.

Against tanks it works ok, but it is inferior to the other launchers where you can plant a dart in a split second, and then unload all your rockets from behind cover even if the target retreats. And they can be used againt infantry too.

i must say it's a lot of fun playing defender on isla innocentes hunting blackhawks!
just about everyone is shooting their tracer darts but the funny thing is not many seem to know how to fire homing rockets...
more choppers for me to destroy!!!

Thus why choppers rape. People don't feel like using the tools gave to them to be able to shoot down helos. They rather go for infantry kills and rely on others to take care of airborne threats. Which pretty much never happens.
