I'm a stat *** and I don't want to go around for hours with all be it a cool gun and not get any kind of recognition of it, even if it is some little pathetic stars.

I played with it for a bit and just didn't seem to like it much, seemed to have good movement accuracy but the ironsights pissed me off

I don't have one and I tried to sign up but it won't work. I'm so angry because I'm a hardcore bf2 vet >.<

I had to join the free Battlefield Heroes to trigger a second game. I too have all the BF games and not all of them were highlited. When I tried to add them, it says CD key already used or something like that.

G3 on semi auto was always my favorite on BF2 and I can't wait to unlock it on BC2. M1 is similar, but you really have to make those shots count with the smaller magazine size.

on normal mode i have no problem dropping two guys with one clip, and even close range the garand is fine. with the .45 as backup those m60 whores dont stand a chance. the only thing i dont understand is how the garand can rock on some servers and not others (both normal servers). sometimes i can go 11-5 or better on a server with the garand and drop guys in 2-3 shots, but on some servers the garand is almost useless because of crappy hit reg. must be ping. anyway, i dont care about stats or about having the coolest strongest gun around because i feel so much better after dropping a noob with a M1 headshot than with a spray and pray uber weapon.

I think its hit detection. I thought everyone that blamed hit detection were just crying again until this morning. I was using the assault AN-94 and hit this sniper 4 times with magnum rounds, thats 4 Xs on the guy and he killed me. I thought lucky shot on his part until it flipped to the after kill cam and he had 100% health. FOUR confirmed hits on the guy aiming center mass and not one registered. Switched to the M416 and went over there and killed him.

I dont know why or how come. No lag and my server ping was 126, it just didnt hit.

Doesn't the "X" mean that the server did register the hit?

Not always, i have had exactly as Crunch described on a few occasions whereby i was shooting at a sniper, hit him directly in the head and got the X registration, only to have him shoot at me and kill me with him still on 100% health.

No, I didnt think anyone was lying, just another unexplained lag thing or bad connection or PC issue. Something a reboot or different server couldnt fix. Not something that can be fixed just by switching the weapon you are using. Not saying that switching weapons fixed it either. It was just a strange one time instance on the server.

You might be on to something. I went ahead and tried the registry thing where that setting is FFFFFFFF and I had one of the best games of BC2 Ive ever played. I dont suffer from lag that much and until the hitreg thing didnt think there was a registration issue, but to see the game improve overall like that makes you wonder.

It could also be a placebo We will see.
