    even on a new engine...

don't you find it funny even on a brand new engine we have the good old chat text input lag?
sometimes it takes a while for what you're typing to show up and sometimes it doesn't even show up at all, lol.
i guess some things they ported over from the old engine.

I never noticed text lag on the Refractor engine. I think it just has to do with the general lag in BC2 from all of the destructable commotion. Hardly worth noticing :P.

Dunno about text lag but people still occasionally clip through walls when they die and you can't revive them, and tehn you can also defib people through walls.

text lag was really noticeable in 2142 for me. it was pretty annoying and BC2 seems to be the same!

I agree this is really frustrating especially when typing whilst alive usually leads to your death.

dead guys can't even say GG at the end of the round.

but are you guys serious that you never felt chat lag before in 2142 and bc2? often times, you hit the chat key and start typing, the first letter you typed is not registered. and some other keys might not be registered as you keep typing. you can call it a "hit reg" issue with chat.

I do get the thing where if you type immedietly after hitting J (or K or L) the first letter of your sentence will be missed out, simple solution, wait half a second!

Yeah. Last night my chat box wasn't even coming up, but I would type anyway and hit enter and within a few seconds it would show. Its very strange. Its really bad when the chatbox is up and you cant see it and are trying to move.
