Funny Lag

I mentioned in a few different posts some of the lag that I have seen with BC2. This day was very funny so I decided to record it.

Please know that this is not a hate video or an awesome pwnage thing, I just thought it was funny and would share.

usually called warping, usually caused by some type of packet loss but not always. Would assume any type of bottleneck between server and player communication would cause it. If the person hosting the game had a poor pc and tried to host too many people everyone would warp. If he had a problem with his internet everyone would warp. But usually people would figure out limitations and then warping would usually be just 1 person having a problem with his packet loss.

Was really bad when playing in dialup modems. Looks like BC2 addresses it a bit better instead of warping you to where you are on your screen it warps you back to where you are actually server side.

It is pretty funny though. Rogue spear was horrible with it and addressed it a bit different probably because there was no dedicated server.

That happened to me in BETA and when the game first came out. It wasn't as constant as in the video, but it happened to me about every 2 minutes. I would turn corners and then teleport back to where i was 5 secs ago. It finally went away when the R7 for the Servers was released. It was really annoying playing like that Round after round, regardless of what server i joined.
