    Re: ATI Catalyst 10.3b

I have an ATI Radeon 5870. And good LOOOORD the loading times are sloooow. My friend has an NVIDIA GeForce 260, he loads about three times as fast as I do. But when I DO get in the game, I can have everything on highest possible without any lag. So lets hope ATI comes out with some serious drivers soon.

There is going to be a hotfix before the next catalyst release to help the load times.

mrbuttocks @CatalystMaker Any chance of a hotfix before the next Catalyst release to address the loading times in BfBC2?

Exactly what settings and resolution are you playing with and how many fps?

on my 4850 the load times seem to be ok, I have a 1gb version

a friend of mine with a 4870, not sure about the ram, takes a lot lot longer to load than me which I found weird

I did a 2 tests on mine to see the difference in load times between DX9 & 10 for me DX9 took about 10seconds, DX10 about 30seconds, even 30seconds of load time gives others a chance to get 2 flags in conq.

I don't think ti's the brand, must be something else and driver related; or perhaps the game itself. Cos I find it real odd that my 7950 GT loads the game in 2 seconds with just an e8400 stock and 2 GB of value ram. I blame the programming, not the cards.
