Star ratings for weapons

How many kills are required with a weapon to get a bronze star. Some of the guns don't show "kills required" to next award. I'm trying to get it on the F2000, but am not sure how many kills I need or whether the stars are just bugged.

Not sure, usually around 25 for bronze 50 for silver and 100 for your first gold, then 100 more for each additional gold. Some weapons are different though and have less requirements, but those are for the gadgets not the primary's.

1,000 Kills on a weapon = Platinum

Also, does a kill with the F2000 grenade launcher count as a kill with the F2000?

No it counts as a kill towards the 40mm grenade which is under gadgets in the stats menu for weapons.

i dont have any platinum star yet... i am in the process of getting gold stars for every weapons :)

Primary / Secondary Weapons:
25 - Bronze
50 - Silver
100 - Gold
x9 Gold then Platinum

Explosive Weapons: (40mm, Carl Gustav, RPG7 etc.)
10 - Bronze
Either 20 / 25 / 30 (can't remember) - Silver
50 - Gold
x9 Gold then Platinum

Vehicle star system works the same as the explosive section.

Pistols are 10/25/50 btw. And just incase anyone was wondering, the 40MML Shotty is 25/50/100 (which suxxx)
