Oh look, one of these threads again. No gun is useless. I use every gun on a regular basis and they're all good. Its just your playstyle. If you can't get used to certain draw backs to certain rape tastic guns I suppose the M60 and M16 are for you.


But before this goes any further I'll just say this : PKM with Heavy Barrel > M60

I never liked the Scar as well, I liked the AK47SU but preferred the UZI over it, I felt the UMP was a good all round weapon though

Some weapons have different situations to them. If I am having a hard time killing a bunch of people in a building protecting a MCOM, I am going to switch to a shotgun. If I want distance, I chose recon with a sniper rifle or an assault weapon with low recoil and further hit damage.

Its about adapting to the situation. No weapon can cover all the scenarios, not even the M60 :p

I have an honest question, what is considered the "best" Assault gun? As I said I use the M416, and I'm going to continue using it regardless of the answer. I'm just curious.

EDIT: And for the record, the M416 is amazing with hip fire at short-medium range.

There is no "best" assault weapon as many would say. I would still however prefer to have an AN-84 ABAKAN in a firefight.

It's a toss up between the XM8 with magnum ammo and the M16; with Magnum ammo. Both with your choice of optics. The M4 is stronger than the XM8 alone, but the spread is worse and the rate of fire slower; you can pretty much sue them the same way tough.
