special characters on some version doesn't work

I try to make a clan, but some members creating their new profile cannot use special characters when most of us can. I use brackets [] and for some reasons the faulty users are prompted to not use special characters when creating new soldier. I thought first it was Steam users since I use DVD but some members reports that they use Steam and don't have characters restrictions.

What's up with that? any work around?

Brackets are default on clan tags now. So if you had [AAA] originally, you will have [[AAA]]. Not sure if that helps. IIRC the "|" makes cross hairs symbol.

it not a clan tag, it within the Soldier name. It seems a problem related to some names or something. Some members say it can create with another name after the brackets, some don't and need to have their name changed slightly, like spelling their name backward.

They are trying to remove the special Characters from the game as it is causing issues.
