This is actually really starting to bother me. Who else thinks that this is something that Dice needs to get onto?
The old system is fine. Everyone is happy, and gets what they deserve, the medics do a bit more than usual sometimes, running out reviving people in the middle of crossfire, and even though they dont count as deaths, people get pissed.
Now they have something to really get pissed over. Of course medics will still try to carelessly rack up points, the only thing this new system has done is remove the reward factor to the poor soul getting revived.
Playing for 4 years, I can say I have no problem knowing a person I killed got revived and did not get a death, as long as I have my credit for killing him, the only thing I'm pissed about is him getting back up. So this system seems pointless, I would usually like to opt and respawn since I feel once I get an official death my mission is over. I would honestly not be surprised if this whole issue was just a bug, and the death counter jumps the trigger.
