There have been 80 ban(s) in the past 24 hours. There have been 172 ban(s) in the past 30 days

And most of the new ones are from "AIMBOT #50120"
I still have a feeling that the number of bans needs to be multiplied by a thousand, but at least something is happening now.

Yesterday on a server, in one single match i saw 2 messages popping out at the middle of the screen saying: "XXXXX has been banned by punkbuster reason: Hacking " OR something similar

Last night, PB was knocking people down like soldiers rushing a MG. Kinda funny to watch, except when it takes up half the screen and lags you out... :razz:

Good. Any thoughts about the effectiveness of the bans? I think the bans were not effective for 2142 etc.
So it would be good to know if those who are banned because of hacking need to buy a new CD-Key in order to be
able to play the game online again.

I dont know for certain, but in this thread it is said that they are per key.

Now since R7, the BFBC2 CDKEY = 1 PB GUID, so this kind of ban is effective to waste the cheater's CDKEY.

That's really good news. Just imagining how many people won't even start using hacks when they know their CD-Key may as well be banned and they'd have to buy a new game just to go through the same routine again. **** hackers.

I hope that it's really going to work this time. The hacking/glitching/exploiting really killed the fun for vanilla BF2/BF2142 for me, but that led me to mods which I've enjoyed ever since and there's no reason to cheat in a mod where the score really doesn't count. Hurray for PB! (Wait - did I actually type that? I must be crazy)
