Veteran Unlocks not working?

I got the Veteran rank status as 2 and, I have the M1 Garand unlocked but it won't show up as my weapon in a server. I also checked around at my gadgets and found this:
I clicked on a gadget that was called: "MGNM AM" And it said, "This weapon is only available to Battlefield Veterans. Visit veteran.battlefield.com to the proud and glorious."
wtf? I'm Vet Rank 2 and I don't have this unlocked?
So I check another gadget called: "12.G SGN" Saying: "This weapon is only available to Battlefield Veterans. Visit veteran.battlefield.com to the proud and glorious."

Is there anyway I can unlock these? Like really, I signed up for nothing.

The veteran system doesnt work at the moment, so you cant get the Garand.
But the gadgets should be available to anyone, the text must be an error.

don't worry you're not missing out on anything. the gun is horrible, i got to use it on day 1 when veteran unlock was working.
