WASD + R for up and F for down
Dont press E again, the UAV detonates when you exit the controls

yes beware pressing R to climb up or u will mistakenly press e and thats ****ed up

Also, what I do, is change the settings to reverse the flying controls because they make it the opposite of the chopper. Up is down and down is up, but in a choper it would be up is up and down is down.

It makes it very confusing. Its a known bug and DICE will hopefully be fixing it.
