Game Runs Horribly..

I was able to run in the beta on high, but now I can barely handle low. The frame rates are horrible, and it lags quite a bit.

My current setup

CPU : E6850 3.0 GHZ Dual Core
GPU : 2 x 8800 GTX In SLI
RAM : 4 Gb DDR 2 1066 I Believe ( Soon to be 8GB 1066 OCZ Reaper)
Motherboard : Nforce 680I
OS : Win 7 Pro 64

I Have 100 MBS Down and at least 15 mbs up for internet.
I also bought a new PCI NIC Card just to make sure that wasnt the problem.

The game barely runs at all low settings and 1280x1024 resoloution.

I don't understand what is going on as I know its not a top end system anymore, but I should be able to run it half decent.

Did you try forcing DX9?

Should I ? Even though the card is DX10 ?

I haven't heard of the DX9 soloution, what does it do/ how do I do it ?

If you didnt run it in DX9 before, I dont see why you need to now.

Are you running the bad nvidia drivers? Might check that. You might also try it not in SLI mode and see if it improves.

Did you change FOV yet? Also what are your graphic settings set at? I know you said low, but everything with AA off and everything fancy off?

Wow I run, 1.8 dual core, 2gig ram and 1 nvidia 250gts, All high settings on 1440x900 without even the slightest hint of lag.

I'm having the same problem with the following specs:

CPU: E6750 2.66 Ghz @ 3.20
GPU: nvidia 9800 GTX+
RAM: 4 GB G.Skill @ 800 mhz.

Why do I hear of people with lower systems running smoothly, and I am laggy andall over the place? Hard to describe, but if I am running down the street and stop, on my screen it looks like I step back 5 - 8 steps. Or sometimes when I turn as I am going up stairs, I end up back on the lower portion. Sometimes when I turn to go into a building, I see the door right in front of me, but then I am back on the outside, sliding along the building. Any ideas?

No. The game chugs in singleplayer sometimes too.

Its not my internet. I literally get 100 Megs down. And literally get 15 megs up. I have the fastest internet available in canada lol. If thats not enough I give up on pc gaming forever.

And when I say low, yes I mean low, everything is at the lowest possible setting it can have.

Im not using the corrupted nvidia drivers that came out. And much like big, the screen will just stop, then catch up, usually during extreme firefights.

I think this game has more liars than normal. All these people with systems that would struggle at other games playing on all high can magically play BC2 on all high.

I can't remember now but for some reason I had thought the beta would force directx 9 for reasons I do not recall. Maybe this happened with you.

It is also very likely that you have something different in your graphics options that maybe was off anyways or you turned off before. Something that might drastically change fps but not effect much else.

Well I changed it to DX9, and that helped quite a bit. Im now messing around with that render draw ahead limit. I also dropped my FOV to 65 . Good results so far.

Could be unstable game, hopefully it'll get patched.

Your configure should be able to run this game on HIGH at 1280 x 1024.

yea it should be running it well, something's gotta be wrong. i have a single 8800GT and i'm not suffering bad performance like that.
maybe it's the SLI setup. did you try just 1 card? that's what i would try if you tried everything.

Yeah, I have to think its the SLI that could be doing it. There has been a lot of SLI strangeness being reported. I just cant see how your system is doing so bad Juno. It simply shouldnt be and you should be doing DX10 easy.

I am running the game with everything on High exept AA at 1920x1200 without a problem. As soon as i put AA its starts lagging. You should be fine

I kept the SLI on, and it just started working. For no particular reason, EXCEPT, that I turned off windows firewall and put the FOV at 65.

I changed nothing else, and now it runs amazing.

So go figure.
