Hi. I've been away from gaming for over 2 years now and having played all the other BF games in the series I'd like to get into this game now too. Will my current system run BC2? If not, what do I need to upgrade in order to play?

I am running a e8400, 4GB RAM, 8800 GTS 320 and Vista 64 and the game plays on my system on 1650x1050 low settings "alright".

Not great, but it's doable. My CPU usage is around 60%.

I guess I forgot to mention that I've really been using AMD for many years and all the the system requirements are in pentium jargon so I don't know what they are in AMD specs.

You'll be fine. You might not be able to run on high but you will be able to run it on medium.

I have a 2.13 CPU and practically the same setup for the other stuff as you and run full speed on all low, and can set some of the things to med/high and still barely see a hit in performance, you will definitely be fine to play at low and maybe a bit higher. :thumbsup:

Bottleneck, will have lag issues with vehicle carnage.

Run 19 inch on low, everything should be smooth.

these cpu's are not comparable like that. His CPU is a bit slower than a e4400 which is a 1.8ghz processor.

I'm not sure how either would play BF:BC2 as I have no first hand knowledge with such CPUs and the game. Just letting him know it is below the minimum specs.

OCing could help a great deal.

You will see some lag with a lot of vehicles or explosions around but overall it should run very decently on low settings.
