Can I run BF:BC2? Thanks!

Hello peoples!

This is my rig - many years old now. You reckon I'll be able to run it with any decent settings? Also, will my processor or RAM cause sever bottle necking if I only upgrade the Vid Card? Was thinking going a DX11 card.

AMD Athlon Dual Core 64 X2 4400+
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
2 GIG Corsair TwinX Matched Memory Pair
2 x Leadtek Winfast 512MB 7950 GT in SLI Mode

Supposedly the retail version is due to get more performance boosts so the early signs of what the R3 client showed should be promising.

If you werent in the Beta to test for yourself then I guess you will have to wait for the release and decide from there.

Upgrading your video card won't do much I think - your CPU is going to be a massive bottleneck.

What resolution is your monitor? That will make a huge difference.

Not necessarily. He could do fine to get a 9800GT or something similar without a bottleneck. I'm planning on running it on at least medium settings but at 1280x1024 and I'm still using my 8800GT. Hell, I played Crysis on high settings with good FPS.

Now, if he has a giant monitor, he'll need a whole new PC, but if it's just a widdle one like mine (19" 4:3) he'll do just fine.

2gb Ram
1gb BFG GTS250 OC
#1 monitor is 19" at 1440x900
#2 monitor is a old HP 17" for TS and HW Monitor.

I ran the beta on it's highest settings with no lag whatsoever.

You shouldn't have any problem if you ran the beta fine. The final product should be better optimized gfx-wise.

If that's a Core 2 Duo that you're runing at 1.8ghz, you should really overclock it! Lot's of untapped power there. Go visit the tech center and ask for some help if you don't know much about overclocking. Some friendly person is bound to help you. :)

I should also add that my dual core 1.8 is water cooled. It is set up to be OC'd. I have just never dabbled in that on a cpu.

Everything on low should be able to run it smoothly.
