what do you use an why?

i feel the Scar is more accurate in short bursts, thats why i use it over the XM8 Compact.

I feel that they are to weak to compete with the ranged weapons of the other classes, so I choose a shotgun or Thompson instead and try to avoid ranged combat.

I just find the Thompson to be the better all round assault rifle. I dont seem to need to reload every kill, has a slower fire rate so my shots can be a bit more precise and the damage isnt bad either.

See I think the opposite when I use the Thompson. If you compare it to the other weapons its one of the weakest as well. As for the Scar vs XM8, I find the XM8 to be more accurate, but both really do a good job and I have been switching back and forth.

im not disputing that remark but i was on the mounted machine gun on the roof of the building next to the apache helipad and was killed from a xm8 on the roof of the defenders last position.. i couldnt belive it..

anyway ive played for 50+ hours with nearly every weapon and there is no better weapon in BFBC2 for dmg, range, accuracy than the pistol lmfao.. they should fix it.

Saiga all the way, espeically with the upgraded clip . Nothing else the engy can use even compares.

Maybe its my bad, but ive sprayed muliple times a xm8 to a guy( a whole recharger)and he didnt died.

I spent the last couple of hours of the Beta with the Scar, and I must say that it is quite good.
And then add one or two gadgets for increased accuracy and damage AND the 25% damage increase they have added to the final version, and you end up with a very powerful gun.
