    Camping - or not?

Some days I like to run around like a loony knifing everything in sight and some days I can't be bothered so I'll set up somewhere and wait. Then some tool will always come up with 'OMG you are camping'. Fact is people play this GAME however they want, and it is a GAME. I don't remember reading any rule book saying what you can or can't do. That was the beauty of the BF series, you could choose to attack or choose to defend and the maps were big enough to allow it.

So if you do get slotted by someone who just wants to play the game their way, suck it up princess and stop whining!

And another thing, (sorry on a rant here), that's one thing I will say for no dedi servers....stops 14 year old admins imposing stupid bloody rules, can't use grenade launcher or can't kill an admin.....or the bloody lists of rules scrolling down the screen!

Although I will admit I prefer to join servers I know, properly admin'd by grown ups with understandable, grown up rules.

    End of rant.....

      Re: Camping - or not?

I dont have a problem with campers. Ive been called a camper many times when I have been all over the map. People are naturally competitive and usually cannot adapt to a situation. They get mad and want to lash out that they are getting bested by someone who is not moving.

Personally, I take killing campers as a challenge. They know I know where they are and usually are in a spot to protect themselves. Its a sure kill if you can pull it off. Sometimes I will hold a grenade and run into the area they are camping Thats always good for a laugh.

As for not having dedicated servers, Ive said it before, but I have to agree with admin thing and it is nice being called a noob or camper or even hacker and yet not get banned from the server because of some dumb rules.

I was playing the Bad Company 2 beta yesterday and it was stacked with a clan that was calling everyone noobs and how great they are. Unfortunatly they were on my team and we ended up losing to a bunch of nobodies

The elitism gets old fast. If a group of guys/gals who play with each other every day and learn all about the game and the weaknesses they have and have communication like in TS/Vent or even in VoIP, then they should be able to beat a bunch of people that never played with each other or communicate. Thats not being 1337, thats common sense and what else do you expect?

Anyway, I never have a problem with people that want to camp or use the noob tube or whatever weapon.

I have no problem with campers, the don't more and therefor are an easy target. It is enough to get a glimpse of one and then grab him through a wall, with no problem. I only play S&D so that game is basically built up with defenders so I don't see the problem. Kill the first 3 rushers, get uav, grab the camper through the wall, and have people whine WH :)

However, tubes needs to be removed!

To me a camper is some1 that sits in a spot wher no one is expecting you ther and just stands ther whitout moving around. I dont have problems whit ppl that are controling an area and moving around checking his flanks. For example on skidrow if you are in the building whit that big hole in it and you are moving around from window to window that perfectly legal in my book.

I camp, funny watching all the little ragers telling you how much you suck etc, people tell me not to use GL in MW2 also, quite amusing how they think they have some kind of influence. Camping in CoD games is mostly guaranteed kills unless you are playing good opponents.

The only time I hate campers is when they camp in spots far away from the "frontlines" where the two teams are mainly having conflicts over an objective. And then they kill me when I am taking the long way around the map to flank. It is irritating.

Its just we understand that poor players, such as yourself, have to camp with noob-tubes to get any kill they can because they wont live long in the game like the rest of us.

                    ZING! :wee:

For me personally I see no fun in camping, I prefer to move around and actually play the game to its full extent.. Yes I do hate campers because 90% of them are too scared to move that's why I usually lay down behind them and poke my sniper rifle between their *** cheeks and let it rip xD

(another reason I LOVE kill cam)
