Yeah, and by demonstrating the fact that UE3 is better, Ubisoft released a number of UE3 based games which are the worst piece of technical garbage ever made.

Whats wrong with UE2? SWAT4 is built on UE2.5, and its still one of the best (looking and playing) tactical shooters. Certainly looks better than R6Vegas. Then theres Bioshock and Bioshock 2, built on UE2.5 aswell.

To be fair people are always upset about raised prices, especially when at least in my eyes the content has deteriorated.
I would assume you're referring to double agent, because Chaos Theory, which was the third installment in the series, was arguably (and will still be) the best Splinter Cell game to date.

The other thing that annoys me about publishers raising the price is that when the sales drop they will blame it on PC torrenting and illegal downloading etc.

Its them raising the price and putting ridiculous DRM strongholds on the products that make more people torrent the game to begin with.

I don't mind so much, I'm in the UK and the game is just under £25 at the website I buy from, it will likely be £35 in the shops but PC games have always sold for that price in high street retailers because silly people will pay that much

but yes Chris is right about inflation etc, its just a pity that a lot of games have gotten shorter or simply don't offer the value

which is why I did get pissed about MW2, there was always a 0% chance of me buying it but the whole situation was just lolworthy

I will buy this if it can reclaim the glory days of Chaos Theory

The reason they can get away with it cuz people end up buy it for 60$ (Supply and demand :P)

WOW! A whole $60 USD!!! Thats like... $65.17 AUD . It's $88 AUD here which is $81.01 USD. It would be cheaper for me to buy it from EB in the states & pay the shipping to have it delivered to my door than it would be to spend $5 in fuel getting to my nearest EB & back. MW2 is STILL $92 AUD here, $84.73 USD. I realy don't see the issue???
