I'd prefer a spotting tool that does not follow the person who has been spotted. More like a marking on the HUD where the person has been spotted. However, if that person has moved on, the marked spot will be empty of course. Snipers won't benefit from this, but in case of the usual assault players, both sides may have an advantage.

Only visible for the members of your own squad would be a good thing. It's realistic because it's like telling people in real life: "there is someone behind that wall"
