Games getting more console like isn't bad in itself; here's some food for thought:

Any game that has glaring glitches in console gets shunned because previous to this generation of consoles; there was no way to patch them in any way. Console games generally get more beta tested and polished than PC games; because well, you can't really relese patches on launch day.

One of the greatest FPS ever was PErfect DArk on the N64; you crying about no prone being consolized? Try no prone, no jump; just your evasion skills and NO aim assistance. The only thing drawing it down was ugly maps; all weapons were perfect, and you could modify the load out for a specific map.

The only real advntage of PC gaming over console gaming is the "usually" more "mature" audience and community; and much better internet load outs. What console players are just starting to experience, we have already standrized: game lobbys, parties, VoIP communication, team games. Don't blame the players, blame MS trying to sell HAlo as the first FPS ever; and then blame players for buying it up.
You have to wonder why Halo 1&2 didn't do that well on PC? Cos they are very very very mediocre FPS for the PC; but on console you didn't really have anything else to choose ffrom; so now you have the ex-Halo players looking for something more meaty, and COD4 provided it; when over on PC COD was very good but far from the best.

I for one, would love to see PC games be more consolized in the sense that they get tested to hell and back and just get DLC and MINOR patches.

I prob hate being consolized more than you Master,but you have to admit its a funny pin someone has made hehe
