    Squad orders

How does the game decide who gets to set squad orders? Is it points? I don't think its whoever started the squad since I've joined squads and been able to set orders.

Anyone can set orders... but not so sure how it works actually.

Setting squad orders doesn't always work for me. I'll highlight the objective, hit Q, and nothing will happen.

It seems to work like in BF2142, you get a bonus for certain actions near your target

yes, but sometimes i'm able to say "attack this position" (in russian of course) or "defend this position" when i point to the A or B objective and press Q when that green thing cgoes around it, and some other times it just does nothing.(this is another something that really pisses me off and makes me think it looks like i'm playing playstation3 or smth, i just hope bf3 will be full with all those squad leader and commander options again

Seems like there is no, system in place to decide who get's to give out orders. Me and my clanmates tested it out, lower ranks can issue orders, people with low and high scores can issue orders. It seems like everyone can issue orders.

              Re: Squad orders

When an order to attack or defend a position is already set, nothing will happen when you give the same order again. So if you are aiming and pressing Q and nothing happens, maybe another squad mate already gave the order. Just my theory.

Personally i like this squad system better. That way you don't have to switch squads to avoid being in a Orderless squad. And i am loving the fact that you can spawn on any squad mate.

Completely agree with you Quemical it is a much better system. This way i dont have to spawn on a SL who is a sniper at the back line of the fight and i dont have to keep pressuring them to give orders.

true dat, it's annoying when a squad leader refuses to give orders as quem says.

                    Re: Squad orders

As for placing orders, Ive tried and have not been able to. Of course my Q options seem to be random at best for me. For some it works just fine.

As for spawning on anyone in the squad, that is great. I like that a lot.

As for anying giving orders, I dont like that and only because it causes confusion and splits the squad up for those that are team oriented or like to follow the orders (sorta like me). I would rather have the leader give the orders. Like in BF2/142 if the leader doesnt give orders, you can just leave the sqaud.

Not a big deal, but Ive had some issues with it.
