I like hardcore for the same reasons and unfortunately for you guys that like the vanilla version I'm pretty sure that HC will be the dominant mode of play for most servers as it is with WaW and CoD4. I think people that like the vanilla game must just be a vocal minority.

Perhaps, as long as there still are servers for both (which there are in CoD 4 and WaW) I will be happy.

Whats also concerning is the lack of filters in the server browser to change between modes, hopefully thats just a beta thing.

hardcore mode = camp fest No thanks

Normal mode = camp fest, it all depends of what kind of people you get on your team.

^ This. Your average pubby will camp regardless of game mode. Not saying camping is bad since you have to camp while defending the crates.

In both modes the gunplay in this beta sucks.For assault,the guns do so litttle damage that the noobtube is a must at all ranges.It is really becoming annoying,and i even annoy myself when i am doing it lol.I wish they would patch this bs already.It saddens me greatly.

all fine except lack of iron sights because its not a proper mode just taking away the cross hairs

For HC, I was wondering if there should be some minimap implementations. maybe it could popup when someone near dies and needs ammo or fixing. This would help the overall team. Not being able to spot seems weird to me too. i think maybe when they spot the minimap could pop up with their location. thoughts?

So when someone yells for ammo/medic/repair you open the map to get their location.

I'm pretty sure I'll be playing hardcore mode for the simple fact that the damage in normal mode is ridiculous. I sometimes feel like I have to get 10 bullets into someone before they drop. I'd rather i died in under 3 bullets to be honest with you because if someone is shooting at me then chances are they are going to kil me any way. Just get it overwith and likewise I'm normally gonna kill someone when I pop off the first shot but when the damage is so low it decreases that percentage and it's annoying when you pump 9 bullets in someone and they turn around with a shotgun and one hit kill you only for you to see that they had like 3% health left. It's stupid. I spotted him first, I engaged him first and I was more effective yet im the one that is dead. So yea I don't care what flaws hardcore mode will have. It's all I'm gonna play. The end.

That's if you can hear them requesting ammo, I usually don't.
